IN SIGNATURE STYLE:
Taylor King Updates Color Palettes and Patterns in High Point

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. - With a focus on color, spirited patterns and new product development, Taylor King, innovative designer and manufacturer of hand crafted upholstered seating and coordinating occasional furniture, continues to blend traditional and transitional styling with fashion-forward designs. At the October 2006 High Point Market, Taylor King will debut more than 200 new fabrics, leathers and coordinating trims to complement the season's new color palettes and patterns, including several fabrics exclusive to Taylor King this season.

In signature style, Taylor King again will address the wide variety of color palettes from rich mahoganies to lighter spa blues and new fresh greens. Patterns unite with bold color duos for a fresh impression of patterning. The company's mastery of upholstery styling is proved with its latest fabric and leather combinations and coordinating choices of finishes and trims.

A Pattern of Patterns
In settings across the showroom, two-color pattern combinations create a high-style contrast in color. In combinations from black&white for paisley print Paddock Shawl and texture plain Camacho Ebony to chocolate&camel for houndstooth Canine Chocolate and elegant frame Eliana Maplesugar to the true crewel of Monarch Bermuda in white stitching on a Pacific blue base velvet, two-color tones add punch to pattern. Peggy Moss adds a twist to the mix with three dimensional depth in a two-color fern trellis print on a neutral basecloth from Stroheim & Romann. Proving that multi-colors are still alive in pattern, Brantley Topaz brings rich colorization to a tapestry paisley, and brighter colors mix with reemerging softer greens in the linen print Margot Cream from Clarence House.

Medleys of Brown Chic
Brown is the hot "neutral" color of today. Patterns and accents of color make this season's browns richer and more complex. Brown gets comfortable with camel in the striking silhouette patternings of Eliana Maplesugar and the broad houndstooth print of Canine Chocolate. In silk paisley Sergio Sumatra, colors rosemary green and Laguna blue jump off a chocolate brown background. Elwood Chocolate also combines tradition with transition in its presentation of a striking graphic pattern in a reverse block overlay with a traditional book binder pattern. Cool blues are combined with brown in pattern Via Spiga in a traditional setting, and a large scale herringbone is used in a more transitional interpretation for Valor Shale.

Blue is Back
From true blue to navy, blue makes a strong showing in the showroom this fall, as seen in the chain stitch patterning Curva Patriot and in the velvet base of crewel Monarch Bermuda. Two hues for blue are paired with brown in a block velvet on a base stripe fabric in Tribeca Aqua. Blue and white also makes a splash in Kings Road, a division of Taylor King, with a casual ticking stripe named Captain's Comfort, and a coordinating print Avignon Ocean. In similar maritime musings, the nautical compass motif Poseidon Navalblue is coordinated with ticking stripe Ticktock Midnight for a decidedly Nantucket feel.

Don't miss this fall's fresh set of fabrics and frames from Taylor King. The Taylor King showroom, located on the 2nd floor of High Point's 200 Steele Building, encompasses 15,000 square feet of space and exemplifies the elegant and creative spirit of Taylor King.
