Taylor King Offers Even More Options
for Comfort in Trademark Style

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. - Taylor King, innovative designer and manufacturer of handcrafted upholstered seating and coordinating occasional furniture, offers even more options for comfort at the High Point Furniture Market. Taylor King introduces 200 new fabrics and coordinating trims, adds over 35 new frame styles for its Taylor King line, and introduces a new King's Road custom collection.

Taylor King Occasional will introduce 23 new pieces, adding 21 new hand painted items which first debuted at the April market. With new market introductions, Taylor King now offers more than 2,000 seating, fabric, trim, and coordinating occasionals for the Taylor King lines.

A New Custom Collection for Kings Road: Cozy Creations
Entering its 15th year, Kings Road expands its seating category with the new Cozy Creations custom sofa and chair program which allows for complete customization in both traditional and transitional style choices. Well-suited for smaller scale housing, the Cozy Creations style choices are custom-made pieces in sizes and scale designed to fit "cozy" spaces. With the hallmark of Taylor King generosity in seating, the new sofas are available in four lengths (ranging from 72" to 96") with matching love seat, chair, and ottoman. Cozy Creations allows for 2 back cushion choices, 4 base choices, and 4 arm style choices, including a track arm. Kings Road also expands its offerings of more moderately priced upholstered furniture with introductions including a new pleated roll arm sofa with a shaped back and an English club chair with a tall tight back and tight seat.

Style in Seating
Combining a tradition of sophistication and quality craftsmanship with the popularity of more contemporary styling, Taylor King will show several new frame styles with clean lines and minimalist styling that complement styles previously introduced in past markets. New frame styles include a new three cushion track arm sofa with a curved shape and channeled inside arms. From desk chairs to a new banquette to a new look for home theater in cream leather and buff suede, Taylor King offers impressive new seating options. Market introductions also include an all wicker frame sofa with an exaggerated English arm, which is available in all 20 Taylor King finishes. The sofa has a matching chair and ottoman.

Where space is not a primary concern, Taylor King introduces large scale dramatic sofas. Creating a flowing shape and forming a chaise on both ends, this market's new double chaise sofa, with curved front, measures 118" wide and 50" deep. Blending camels and taupes, an inventive fabric selection matches a transitional body with traditional fabrics in a neutral palette. In striking contrast, an awning stripe fabric mixes linen and velvet with a boucle texture and the coordination is complete with powerful accent pillows, including a solid silk basketball pillow. Another engaging option for large scale living is a 108" inch oval shaped sofa with alluring face-to-face arm angles. With a fresh look for a popular color palette and a new layer of depth, the 100% dupione silk body cloth in a celadon color is matched with richly patterned fabrics colored in a mix of aqua blue, green, and chocolate browns.

For a truly striking look, the City Slicker sofa is a must see at market. Appearing to be an armless sofa, the low, sleek side arm rises rapidly to a curved wing and camel back. Resting on a wood base, the sofa is finished with a tapered leg and covered in a plush chocolate velvet with a chocolate and blue stripe plaid from Kravet. Mixing chenille and boucle, the sofa is accented with an exaggerated herringbone fabric in brown and blue.

TK Recliners: New Mechanisms for Motion
Available for the first time in this product category, Taylor King adds to its upper end recliner collection a new motorized mechanism for press back chairs. Invaluable for the consumer who seeks comfort and styling, yet finds traditional recliners to be an operational challenge, the new mechanism offers an increased ease of operation. The press back recliners come standard with a matching ottoman and feature the company's signature eight way hand-tied construction. Taylor King recliners combine the latest in motion technology with traditional and trendy looks in leathers and upholstery. The end product presents the ultimate in reclining comfort.

Taylor King Occasional
For TKO, Taylor King introduces 21 new hand painted pieces, including a night stand with a pet-friendly feature, a cozy haven suitable for a small pet complete with an upholstered button pad. Market introductions also include a dining table and hand painted dining chairs. Three new buffets, one with a lift-off tray table, another with curved end shelves with Asian front panel details, and one with wine storage. TKO introductions also include a two-piece metal group with a cocktail table and end table featuring a round leg in a parchment finish with bronze accents.
