Taylor King Announces Showroom Expansion in High Point

TAYLORSVILLE, NC - Taylor King, innovative manufacturer and designer of benchmade upholstered seating and coordinating accessories for the home, announced this week the company has expanded its showroom in High Point in time for the April International Home Furnishings Market. The showroom, located on the 2nd floor of the 200 Steele Building, is gaining an additional 3000 square feet previously occupied by Lloyd Buxton Furniture. The new addition enhances the existing space to over 15,000 square feet.

A portion of the additional square footage will be devoted to a free-standing occasional gallery. Previously, the occasional product was displayed only in upholstery settings throughout the showroom. The extra space will allow the company to feature new introductions, including new items from the Thaxton Lane Collection. This collection features sophisticated pieces constructed with solid mahogany, burl and crotch mahogany veneers, solid mahogany dovetailed drawers, and solid brass accents.

"With our previous showroom, we did not have the luxury of a dedicated area for our occasional product," stated Taylor King President Del Starnes. "This new addition allows our customers to focus their attention on this growing product line within our company. The additional square footage will also allow us to broaden the amount of space allotted to other product categories as well." Other categories gaining space will certainly include Taylor King recliners, which generated much success after their introduction at last Fall's market. Designed with upscale interiors in mind, the recliners feature a hidden inside handle release and are available in over 1200 fabrics and leathers.

A portion of the additional space will also be devoted to a "sophisticated casual" upholstery collection. The area will feature upholstered sofas, sectionals and chairs with a subtle blend of transitional and traditional fabric motifs in colors such as taupe, butter-cream, khaki and tand.
