Taylor King takes this market over-the-top with 200 new fabrics, 12 new trims and adds 60 new pieces to its Taylor King and King’s Road lines. Market introductions will include a new series of hand-painted items, from cocktail tables to chests to side tables, for TKO. This market's introductions bring the grand total to more than 2,000 seating, fabric, trim, and coordinating accessory options for the Taylor King lines. The Next Big Thing A walk through the showroom in April reveals that Taylor King's introductions include several feature pieces of impressive dimensions. Taylor King builds on its production of well-proportioned, large-scale pieces with a conversational ottoman that offers seating for two, a super sectional that features an open ended chaise, and a new round chaise. "The key to oversize pieces is proportion, and we combine that with comfort and compatibility. Taylor King's next big things build on a more transitional lifestyle that we introduced during last market," said Tanya Comer, director of marketing. Measuring 70”x70”, the conversational "social pad" ottoman, literally creates conversation as a double-chaise that provides for face-to-face seating or seating at ninety-degrees, ideal for a media room. The super sectional features an open ended chaise that alone measures 150” x 115”. The sectional's wide array of available components accommodate configurations for truly custom pieces. And, in response to the round chaise's popularity, Taylor King brings another new introduction to market. Launching an Entry into Home Theater Taylor King will launch its first home theater seating collection at market. The new collection, including a matching full-sectional group, has design continuity across all pieces and allows for complete configuration in any media room. The new home theater offers all the requisite conveniences, including full-recline seating and cup holders. "A media room is a great opportunity to be more free-spirited with mixtures of styles and designs," said Del Starnes, president. “Furniture in a true media room has a dedicated purpose and it easily lends to creating a unique look separate from the rest of the home's decor." Taylor King brings its mastery of motion furniture to the seating with both manual and motorized reclining mechanisms. Taylor King in Motion: Recliners Taylor Kings adds to it upper end recliner collection with six new recliner styles, bringing the total collection to over 30 styles. Taylor King recliners combine the latest in motion technology with traditional and trendy looks in leathers and upholstery. The end product presents the ultimate in reclining comfort in a range of transitional to traditional styling. Sensational Seating From bar stools to banquette seating to a bustle back chair, Taylor King offers impressive new seating options. For the dining room and kitchen, a new dining room option features fully upholstered banquette seats. New bar stools will include an over-sized fan-back bar stool that is also available in matching dining arm and side chairs. Taylor King will also debut a new West Indes look which includes a large selection of inspired fabrics, a chair frame in wood cane, a bonnet chair with canopy caning, and an import sofa. This market's new introductions focus on detail including a formal juvenile dining chair. Additional introductions include new wing chairs with a distinct base, fully upholstered transitional chairs, and accent wood chairs designed to complement Taylor King's transitional styles. Kings Road Collection It will be a fresh mix of everything for market in the Kings Road collection. This April’s sunroom will feature fabric combinations designed to take you back to the beach in bright prints and patterns. Entering its 15th year, the Kings Road collection offers furniture dealers more moderately priced upholstered furniture. Kings Road adds four styles of upholstered cocktail ottomans in inventive shapes, swivels and functional storage capacities to compliment their hallmark sofa collections. The Taylor King showroom, located on the 2nd floor of High Point's 200 Steele Building, encompasses 15,000 square feet of space and exemplifies the elegant and creative spirit of Taylor King.
