A FLAIR FOR FABRICS :
From Bright Colors to Transitional Neutrals,
Taylor King Premieres a Show-Stopping Palette in High Point |
TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. - A parade of fashion fabrics lead the market introductions as Taylor King, innovative designer and manufacturer of hand crafted upholstered seating and coordinating occasional furniture, debuts more than 60 new pieces at this spring's International Home Furnishings Market in High Point. Taylor King continues to debut fabric leather combinations at the height of contemporary upholstery styling by mixing fabrics and leathers and coordinating choices of finishes and trims. Market introductions also include a new collection of hand-painted occasional pieces for the TKO collection designed to complement Taylor King's signature palette of fabrics.
A range of rich leathers to neutrals and eye-opening feature patterns start off the showroom. Dominant themes this spring range from the tropics of West Indies to updated flora and fauna. The company that is famous for fabric is adding transitional fabrics in neutral palettes in basic sellable color settings like rich browns and reds. Taylor King adds a dozen fringe and cord combinations to complement the season's new rich chocolates and brighter fabrics. With a focus on color, spirited patterns and new product development, Taylor King continues to blend traditional and transitional styling with fashion-forward design.
A LOOK AT THE TAYLOR KING COLOR SPECTRUM
Island Influences
Taylor King brings an island look to market with West Indes settings. Nature inspired crocodile leathers, animal skins, and exotic fabrics and silks add exotic flair. Quilted and printed velvets featuring browns with bursts of green and berry add soft luxury. Block tapestries in raisins, gold and greens and deep, rich browns and novelty prints Panama Thyme and Mandalay Seaglass are just a few of the fabrics from the total of five West Indes influenced settings.
mmmm....Mocha!
It's no surprise that Taylor King has plenty of the new "it" color, bold and beautiful brown, in its collections for market. Richer than ever, from chocolate to mocha, brown is the new comfort color. The new browns add depth and have the ability to mix with any color for a complete medley of brown chic. California Casual reigns in neutral fabrics with a complex and sophisticated look for the new look of luxury as seen in neutral horizontal Rezzi Essence. Ross Steel, a textured bulky chenille tweed in blue and brown, is one example of the new brown mix. Taylor King shows the range of brown shades in velvet print Ballano Paisley and the chenille on fileweave of Biltmore Rattan, a floral stripe in camel & rich brown patterning.
Powerful Flowers
Taylor King proves that it didn't forget about bright color with simple palettes done in detail with a tulip tapestry, chenilles in blues and gold and fabrics that mix beautiful blues, rosey reds and neutrals. Vintage Rose is a breath-taking romantic crewel on velvet with a vintage look for today. Lambada, Sydney Tropic and needlepoint-feature Largo Cajun represent the best of modern designs executed in floral perfection.
Covered in Cordovan
Floral fabric Nectar Cordovan shows that new signature colors go beyond red to darker reds, in raisin to cordovan to burgundy and maroon. Tapestry Largo Cajun takes a hint of the new red in its fern print and is complimented by a companion fabric taking a look from menswear fashion in a herringbone weave.
Bright and Fresh Finishes
Taylor King's casual spring fabric combinations are designed to take you back to the beach in ticking stripes and banana boat prints in fresh blues and greens. Fresh looks continue with a range of botanical and tropical patterns with rain forest prints in kiwi green and cordovan. Transitional patternings, like Fireside Splendor, show color in stripes. Fresher blues make a return to the color scene in spa and saturated blues, like Lambada in robin's egg blue.
Don't miss this spring's fresh set of fabrics and frames in grand dimensions and sophisticated styling from Taylor King in High Point. The Taylor King showroom, located on the 2nd floor of High Point's 200 Steele Building, encompasses 15,000 square feet of space and exemplifies the elegant and creative spirit of Taylor King. The showroom is open 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. during spring and fall market dates.
