TAYLOR KING DEBUTS EXTENSIVE SOFT CONTEMPORARY COLLECTION, NEW ECO-FRIENDLY FABRICS AT HIGH POINT

Taylorsville, N.C. -- Taylor King, long known for its dynamic traditional fabrics and frame styles, branches out for the 2008 Spring High Point Market with a diverse collection of transitional and contemporary styles. The company will also feature exciting new traditional frames, making this season's presentation more diverse and complete than ever.

The Taylor King showroom is located on the 2nd floor of the 200 Steele building in High Point and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the High Point Market.

Twice the Transitional

In response to the overwhelming reception of its growing transitional category last Fall, Taylor King is pleased to introduce more sleek lines and modern designs, including five new sofa styles, new fully upholstered lounge chairs, exposed wood accent chairs and upholstered cocktail ottomans.

The new Davenport exposed wood chair features a stylish curved right back and tapered leg base that is right at home in a more contemporary setting. The stylized medallion pattern, Tissa Cognac, is colored in a rich brown and spice combination on a bamboo base cloth. The chair retails for $1795.

A perfect compliment to any décor, the Grimaldi cocktail ottoman top is upholstered in a supple wax pull-up leather in a warm spice tone. Four pullout drink trays and a large round bottom shelf demonstrate functionality. The ottoman retails for $1695.

New Eco-friendly Fabrics

Taylor King is committed to the preservation of our environment, and will present a premium line of eco-friendly fabrics at market. With high style and low-impact on the earth, the new Harmony fabrics are made from post-consumer and post industrial materials such as recycled plastic bottles and earth-friendly fibers like natural bamboo. The Harmony collection offers a surprisingly soft finish accented in bright, contemporary color schemes.

Taylor King's Harmony fabrics are featured on the new Contessa chair, this contemporary diamond pattern highlights the great comfort and clean styling of this new introduction. Contessa retails for $1295.

French Inspired Additions to the Mt. Vernon Collection

George Washington's enduring friendship with Marquis de Lafayette provides the inspiration for a collection of three new sofa styles and many new chairs this market. The decidedly French feel of the collection is captured with the elegant wood carved chair, "LaGrange", which features an hourglass shaped back and tight seat . LaGrange retails for $1795.

Tantalizing Traditional... Taylor King Nailed It!

Despite the growth in the clean lines and minimal accents of the soft contemporary category, there remains the demand for traditional product that is both exuberant in scale and in the use of multiple materials and embellishments. The Bernal sofa features a decorative scalloped back and arms and the multiple pillow sizes and shapes accommodate many coordinating fabrics and trims. Hundreds of individual applied decorative nails run this bench seat sofa into a true work of art. The sofa retails for $4995.

Posh Privacy for Pets

For pets who have gained "family member status," Taylor King is introducing the fully upholstered Parker Pet Bed. Available in two sizes, the pet bed is standard with a loose cushion and one 11" throw pillow. As with any Taylor King product, it is available in any fabric or leather, and can be trimmed with individually applied decorative nails. The pet bed retails for $495.
